Premier League highlights: 10 talking points from weekend as Liverpool win but Man Utd struggle

 



Though it may be too early to take a real look at the Premier League table, the new season continues to deliver.


Twenty goals were scored across the weekend as Chelsea continue to set the pace at this very early stage of the season thanks to a win over Arsenal.


Liverpool are keeping pace with Thomas Tuchel’s side, with Brighton and Tottenham joining them in the top four, while Manchester United were left frustrated by Southampton on Sunday.


Norwich sit bottom of the table with the pressure ramping up on Gunners boss Mikel Arteta as his side continue to struggle.

Luis Suarez is the latest star to send Lionel Messi a public tribute in the aftermath of the news that he will not play his football at Barcelona next season. Messi has been a free agent since the end of June, after his previous Barca contract expired, though both the club and the player himself were under the impression he would bide his time until permission was granted for him to pen his new deal.
